Reasons Why Amrish Puri Was Ideal Bollywood Villain
I mean if Amrish Puri is looking at you with his eyes open wide, you know shit just got real. Like really real. Like you should probably run and not piss your pants. Shahrukh here did neither and he's doomed, while simultaneously having wet undies. Bad thinking Shahrukh, you should've run.
1. His Face
From playing countless
fathers who paid no heed to their daugther's love lives to playing the evil
General Mogambo, the Late Amrish Puri deserves to be appreciated for making us
yell for his demise at the end of every movie. But what makes him fit for these
roles?
2. His Get-Ups
I think Amrish Puri is one of the most dedicated villains when it comes to costumes. This man has dressed up in so may different ways that can give you goosebumps, and even without a costume, he's scary enough. Best of the lot though, is this maniac monkey he played in Jaani Dushman.
3. He's
Scared The People in The West Too
The American's must have loved his work too, because he has been a part of some
Hollywood movies too, his most prominent role being that of Mola Ram in Indiana
Jones and The Temple of Doom.
Even when
he's without headgear also, you don't want to be anywhere near him.
4. Even
His Smile Is Unsettling.
I mean, is he happy? Is he sad? Is he plotting to kill the everyone in the
world, one person at a time, starting with you? Does he want chocolate? Who
Knows?
You smile, I don't smile. Not even close. I roll up in
a ball and pray for my life.
5. His
Dialogues Go With His Roles.
Most of what he says sounds powerful simply because of his baritone, and if the
lines are deep and hard-hitting, you have something special on your hands.
Amrish is and will always be one of the best villains produced by any film industry, and he will always be remembered. Maybe not like this....
Maybe like
any one of these !
