Salman Khan has done many roles as the romantic hero, the actor follows a 'no-intimate-scene' policy and has always strived to maintain the 'family film' stance. Now that the actor has entered into the new zone of production, he continues to follow the same principle. In the film Hero produced by him, Salman Khan asked director Nikhil Advani to remove a 'lip lock' scene.
Revealing about the
decision, director Nikhil Advani mentioned that it was just a brush of lips but
Salman Khan was sure that he wanted the scene to be edited out. Describing it,
Nikhil stated that the scene in the film has Sooraj and Athiya lying atop a
truck when Sooraj lovingly pulls out a blanket on them and then he kisses her,
which Nikhil claims to be a 'peck'. In fact, elaborating on it, Nikhil added
that even before he could see it, Salman spotted it and asked him to chop it
off saying that since he never lip locked with any actress on screen, his
'kids' won't do it too.
Nikhil Advani, who too agreed with Salman Khan, is of the belief that Hero doesn't require intimate scenes to portray the love between two characters and hence decided to abide by the superstar's decisions.
Hero is
a remake of the 1983 Jackie Shroff, Meenakshi Sheshadri starrer by the same.
The film is jointly produced by Mukta Arts, Eros International, Emmay
Entertainment along with Salman Khan Films. The film is slated to release on
September 11.
