Airlift Box Office Collection: Akshay Kumar latest Offering Earns Rs 44.30 Crore in the First weekend!

Airlift is a film that talks about a mass evacuation that left everyone proud to be an Indian. These days, we hardly get an opportunity to feel that way for our country for there hasn’t been any incident to feel so. Akshay Kumar‘s taut thriller has given us a reason to holler that even India can execute a perfect evacuation if a time of crisis comes calling. Although the first half suffers from slow pace, the second half is the life of the film. Hence, it isn’t surprising to see the way the film is making money at the box office. After a good Friday and Saturday, Airlift sees another massive jump on Sunday to take its total to a commendable 44.30 cr!
Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh posted on Twitter, “#Airlift went from strength to strength with each passing day. Fri 12.35 cr, Sat 14.60 cr, Sun 17.35 cr. Total: ₹ 44.30 cr. India biz. FAB!” He had predicted yesterday that Sunday will see a great leap in numbers and the film proved him right. The numbers have been on an upswing since Friday. From 12.35 cr on day 1, it went to 14.60 cr and now Sunday brought in terrific numbers with 17.35 cr. Thus, the first weekend total of the film stands at 44.30 cr which is more than his last January release Baby which made a decent 35.90 cr in first three days.
