The award show was conducted for Tamil and Malayalam film industries.Every year, right around this time the country witnesses one of the most prestigious film awards, the IIFA awards.Taking a page out of Bollywood’s book, the South launched the first ever IIFA Utsavam awards for the year 2016 . All the big stars, directors, producers and musicians from Kollywood and Mollywood graced the occasion. Baahubali and Ennu Ninte Moideen took home most awards for Tamil and Malayalam movies respectively.The event saw many prominent names on the red carpet such as Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan, R Madhavan, K-Town bombshell Shriya Saran, Baahubali actress Tamannaah Bhatia, actor Prithviraj along with his spouse, Thani Oruvan star Jayam Ravi, Nadigar Sangam president Nassar and many more. Kamal was looking handsome in a black suit and pant.
